X7 Nylon Strings
I appreciate all the suggestions and insights on this forum - and really luv all the info on different string sets and their attributes - - - last thread was dated 2019 - any new thoughts
My new X7 Nylon came with Optimum Gold Strings I really luv the overall voicing of the instrument, but would like a bit more brightness from the trebles. Whatta y’all using? Any thoughts or suggestions? Much appreciated -c Cody Last edited by cleser; 11-17-2020 at 05:15 AM. Reason: Update info |

The Optima Gold bass strings are fine but I think those dull trebles are a bad match.
On my X7 Nylon I replaced them all with a much brighter set of Savarez Alliance Corum. I plan to do the same on my new X20 Nylon. It will be a pity to mess up the gold theme of that guitar, but sound has to come before sight.

I have enjoyed experimenting with strings on my X7 nylon. The Hannabach Goldin with super-carbon trebles are my favorites so far.
Hope that helps, Tom |

I've been using the Aquila 134C normal tension strings and like them a lot. You're going to find that the quest for strings is never ending--no matter what you try, there are others out there. So, try them all and get it over with--let us know how that works out.................
