Mahalo Derek
Aloha & Mahalo Trevor & Derek,
Thanks for reprising this old thread, Trevor. And Derek, no matter how many times I hear it or on which gear, your original wav. file recording of "Rebecca" is as great an acoustic recording of a great original song that I have ever heard. http://dcoombsguitar.com/Guitar%20Music/Rebecca.wav Wonderful, intimate & accessible music. And close-miking so clear you can really hear the complete decay & natural reverberation of each note inside your guitar. Amazing! And it doesn't clip out any speaker source I play it through?!? How'd you get your mastering levels so high without issues? It is so great to hear "Rebecca" once again! Mahalo a nui, alohachris |

Thanks Chris. That guitar has a lot of internal reverberation and overtone content. A good song for it. I let the notes hang on somewhat to bring that out - especially at the very end.

No worries. It's enough to know that with perseverance and practice the sound you achieved is possible.

I just came across this recording of Rebecca - great all around, from the song itself, to the playing and capture.
It'd be great if the M295 recordings could be put back up. Thanks and congratulations.

Very much appreciated, Derek, another solidly played and executed piece.
To my ears, "Rebecca" had a more classical feel to it, while "A Simple Thing" has more air and depth. Cool to see how the same instrument and player can produce significantly different results when the signal chain is modified. Thanks again, and have a great Sunday.
