clean inlay edges
Might the culprit be one of those two I used with my Dremel router?
Which one would you suggest for clean edges? A Way to clean the edges at the soundhole I found here in the last third of the video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BTiCttWxpz0&t=12s

I use spiral downcut router bits like these ones that I get from StewMac for rosette channels. They work beautifully. There are other sources for them too.
The bit on the left in your photo is an upcut bit which doesn't give as clean an edge as a downcut bit. I don't know what the bit on the right is, but it doesn't look like one i would want to use for cutting channels. https://www.stewmac.com/luthier-tool...y-router-bits/ [IMG][/IMG] For binding/purfling channels, I use StewMac's binding router bit and bearings. https://www.stewmac.com/luthier-tool...outer-bit-set/ Last edited by Shuksan; 05-03-2022 at 10:53 AM. |

That would be great. Thanks. I'm seriously interested to see your approach. I'm always interested in learning about methods that are new to me.
