Specs list phantom power and I believe Aaron mentions it in his splendid video.

My pleasure!

Am I the only one who thinks its design is kinda ugly/boxy? I know the most important things are sound and features, but one of the things I love about my L1 Compact (for example) is its elegant design. I often leave it set up in my living room just to look at it. That's right I'm not married, why do you ask

Also curious how these will work behind the performers like the Bose units are designed to do, with regard to feedback. I’m sure there will be real world reviews coming soon, and I look forward to Aaron’s

I don’t think it’s ugly but maybe the Bose looks sleeker? It’s all about the features for me. You have to check out the app. It’s powerful and easy to use. They did a great job.

I have tried it. No feedback and it has the feedback reduction but when it gets loud it’s fatiguing on the ears so I would stand beside it.

I would have held off on getting the EV Evolve 30M if I knew this was coming out. I love my 30M but this looks awesome and I love my little JBL Eon Pro Compact and it's app. Would love to have its big brother too!

I wonder if EV will upgrade their app for the 30M and 50M to include a parametric eq, feedback reduction and improve the effects to compete?

Feedback reduction in the case of JBL is a proprietary algorithm AFS from dBX. I think it is patented.

It seems this unit have tunable high-pass filters . I like that

I’m kinda in the same boat. Just bought the EV. After kicking my dog all morning, I’ve calmed down quite a bit. In reality, I think our EV’s sound amazing. Lightweight, easy to set up. I don’t really need an acoustic PA to push more than the 30M does.
