[QUOTE=pmarino;5793251]Hi all. A friend took some short clips of me playing last night at a local pub, so I thought I'd share if you're interested in the Fishman Matrix Infinity Mic Blend. To be clear, it's smartphone video, with plenty of pub chatter, so perhaps it's best to listen with headphones.

Sounds very good. I don't like the fishman matrix on its own but the mic blend seems to have cured much of the harshness. How much of the improvement do you think can be attributed to the Grace BiX?

Well, that's hard to say, as I've only played it live through the BiX. At home, just plugging it into the amp (no BiX), I think it's still a very nice pickup. Better than many I've used. I do take a bit of the top-end off with the BiX, and a bit of a mid-cut, too. That really helps (true for most pickups, I'd imagine).

Hi all.

I played a show at a Tractor Fair in Suffolk, England this weekend, using my J-15 with the Fishman Matrix Infinity Mic Blend. I went into my Grace Design BiX preamp, into the board. These are mobile phone videos, so take the sound quality for what it is. Also, these are Facebook videos, but I believe you should be able to view them, even if you're not on Facebook.

Anyway, here they are:

The Suffolk Food Hall in Ipswich. Right near the Orwell Bridge.

I was born in Ipswich. Are you from there originally?

No, I'm from the States. Moved to Essex in 2006.

A little bit below the half-way notch.

Sounds nice! For years I used a fishman matrix blend system (internal mic on a gooseneck). I found that the more I played, the less I used the mic. It would feedback and never did much. This seems to be an improvement but it does seem to be the same as the duncan wavelength system that has been out for years.

I did try and purchase a matrix mic blend but no guitar shops in the West end had them. So I got the Fishman matrix infinity without the mic.

I had one years ago on an old Cort guitar which I sold to a friend.
What I love about the matrix infinity is it has loads of headroom and it doesn't feedback.
I may get the mic blend version soon. Very impressed with the sound clips I've heard.

I finally got to install mine last week into my new build. I've only had a short chance to play it plugged in until I get my new amp later this year. It certainly has a great sound.
I got mine from Blue Star Music on eBay, excellent service, and fast delivery.

Well done. Looks like you done a great job. I can't wait to get my mic blend soon.
As I said earlier the stores in the West end didn't have the mic blend version.
So on my Simon & Patrick Woodland Spruce guitar I had the normal Fishman Matrix infinity fitted in from a local Luther.
I am so glad I did as the infinity sounds supurb on the S & P guitar. I keep the setting on flat and use the eq on my AER compact 60.
The pick up is crystal clear with lots of headroom. The mic blend I can imagine sounds even better.

Hi all. Three new live videos of my J-15 with the new Fishman Matrix Infinity Mic Blend, for those looking for 'real world' evidence of the system. The J-15 was plugged straight into the board. Strings are D'Addario Nickel Bronze. You may want to use headphones, due to the background pub noise.
