For a Big Clean sound...DV Mark Jazz 12 Or a Quilter Aviator Cub??
Curious if anyone has owned/played them...
Can they go loud and clean? Take pedals??

If you're looking for something more straight-ahead than the Roland - and lighter-weight/less-expensive to boot - this might just fill the bill (BTW one of the reviewers prefers it to the JC-40 as a plug-&-play amp):
