Default Sean Hall and his custom Irvin SJ video release

This is simply amazing to me and I could not help but want to share it with my friends here on AGF. I first discovered the world of custom guitars around 1994 when I was curious about what make of guitar Phil Keaggy was playing on his Beyond Nature album. Of course that led me to James Olson. I had the privilege of visiting his shop in 1995 and it was a life changing moment for me, however, my wife and I were in the middle of raising 4 kids and in no position to change careers. It was only a dream and one I never really thought I could pursue. well, years later and a lot of story in between, I began to build custom guitars full time in 2016.

Only in my wildest dreams did I picture world class players playing my guitars. I know perhaps all luthiers have some pretty remarkable stories how connections were made and who they have been able to build for. It is often financially and emotionally very challenging in this journey, but the rewards are so deeply good and the passion remains and grows through it all. I have certainly had some highlights along the way and watching Sean do his thing on this video is, well, really, really fun. Thanks for viewing. I didn't get time to take any great photos of the guitar but here is one I took before I delivered it to him. Oh, yes, we live on the puget sound in Washington State, west of Seattle. That is my view from my deck.

Thanks to all for the kind words and responses. I know its early, but just FYI, Sean will be one of the featured artists at La Conner this May and, he'll be demoing my guitars as well. I am very grateful!!!

Thank you so much Jeff, appreciate the kind words. Here is a second release that feature Don Ross along with Sean, an amazing guitar duet. These players really are truly amazing.
