Default 2014 AVALON LEGACY L25C (Pioneer L1-20C)-COMPARABLE TO LOWDEN 025C

As much as I hate to do it...I'm listing my beautiful Avalon Legacy L25C (new model L1-20C) for sale.

It is Cedar/Rosewood and is probably one of the best sounding Irish guitars I've ever played. The tone and build quality on these new Avalons are as good as anything out there! It has a HUGE sound very rich...warm and haunting. Sustains forever. Super clean just one little pin head size mark on the face and a very thin 1/2" hairline finish crack near the waist. Laminated neck and original Hiscox Liteflight case.

Originally purchased from Dream Guitars. Their video of this exact guitar is here (played by Al Petteway):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqvYw_-vX_s

Measurements Body Size: Jumbo
Scale: 25 1/2 in. (647.7 mm)
Nut Width: 1 23/32 in. (43.7 mm)
String Spacing: 2 13/64 in. (55.9 mm)
Body Length: 21 1/4 in.
Upper Bout: 12 in.
Lower Bout: 16 3/8 in.
Serial #: 1853
Body Depth @Neck Heel: 3 15/16 in.
Body Depth @Tail Block: 4 7/8 in.
Frets to body: 14

SOLD

I had the opportunity to play this guitar a couple of days ago. It is everything it is advertised to be. Loved that big airy, Irish sound. A really good value IMHO. Good luck with your sale.

2 questions:
Does it have a pickup?
Can you get a closeup of the finish crack?

thanks!

I keep coming back to this...should've never let mine with a Sitka top go! I play too aggressively for a cedar top.

Can't believe that other Avalon gold series guitar is asking even close to the amount of this one. They aren't even in the same league in my opinion. The legacy/pioneer series are on par with lowden and mcilroys I've played, the gold series built in Ireland and Czech Republic are very very different guitars.

Thanks homesteader! These new Avalons are as good if not better than anything I've played! Check out their website...those guys are doing some really innovative designs! This one is lots of guitar for the money...

I played two top of the line avalon and lowden guitars recently and found both guitars to sound quite similar. The lowden may hv had more presence but then again it had African blackwood back and sides and redwood top so it would have sounded fractionally warmer and make reverby. Based on that I got a very good impression of avalon guitars indeed.
