I dunno about feet, but whenever I go to photograph something shiny, I first make sure I'm wearing pants.

We happen to have an advertisement on TV in Holland where this guy is pretending to play a guitar with his bare feet. Did nothing for me, in fact I was probably more thrown off by it, but then again it didn't adress guitar players, some insurance company I believe but as I said I tried to forget about it completely. No feet insurance for me, that's for sure, I didn't even notice the guitar brand.

A fellow on the telecaster discussion page had collected a dozen or so Craigs List pics of musical instruments for sale, all with dirty laundry in the photos.

I probably over analyze pictures when I'm looking to buy. You can see a lot in the reflections sometimes!

Worse than feet in pictures, I really get irritated when people take bad pictures. Either blurry or terrible lighting. I mean are you really trying to sell that guitar?

Default When I see them in guitar pictures

...I always assume there's trouble afoot.

Well, when you list a guitar, it's important to picture all the feet-ures.

(Cue the collective moan).

What a hilarious thread!

Maybe the foot is there to show scale?

Do feet pics help?

I think guitar pics are better when selling guitars. Feet pics are better when selling feet.

I've bought lumber by the foot. Never thought I'd see the day people would sell guitars by the foot!

Hmph, perhaps my difficulty selling my Taylor dread was due to a lack of my ugly feet.

If you're going to show bare feet in a guitar photo, make sure they are those of a woman and I'll forgive you. A woman in bare feet is SEXY.

Feet in the pictures are a sign of "The Real Deal" - no scam here... Actual real life seller..

Your gear is worth at least a couple hundred $$$ more if there are feet in the pictures...
