I've got a list of about 20 Taylors I want and the Big Baby is on it. lol I almost bought a big baby this winter but went with a 455ce instead. I'm gonna have to get one this summer.

I think I'm going to have to get a Big Baby so I can start teaching my youngest daughter (age 13). Course that's going to be right after I get the 614ce, the NS3, and an 810ce. I don't think you can beat their value as a starter or travel guitar when it comes to price and playability up the neck.

I agree that it is a great guitar for the money. I just returned from a trip and took it with me; it fits well in the overhead compartment of 737's and I was able to get some practice in while on the road. Good sounding and versatile guitar for the money.

I love mine too! It is the first "real" guitar I've owned. Friends with more money in their guitars are jealous. Has anyone found a nice fitting hard case?. . . Brandon?

Well I'm not exactly sure what guitar the case goes with. I'll find out when I go in sometime next week and pick it up.

I went back to my local guitar store to check out the hard cases again. They let me trade the gig bag for my Big Baby and upgrade to the hard case for 50 bucks. The tag on the side says "Freedom" by SKB.

It's not perfect but the best fit I have found. For the money I think a pretty good deal.

Default big baby cases

i emailed taylor and asked them about a case for the big baby. they told me that TKL makes several cases that fit the big baby. the wesite is www.cybercase.com and the model #'s of the cases are 7805, 8805, 8905, 9105. they are all grand concert size cases. the price starts at $125, but TKL cases are really good. i have one for my les paul and it is great. if anyone finds any place that sells grand concert size cases cheaper than that, let me know.

I just sold my seagull to buy a Big 'un. I was also considering a Martin DX1R, but I went back to the shop for the 3rd time to play it today and I wasn't impressed anymore. Maybe the shape of my earwax has changeds and somehow warped the sound vs. what I heard before. But it really lacked midrange. The strong bass overrid all of the other tones. The Big Baby is also at least $100 cheaper and has the bag. Can't wait. I'll probably put gold grovers on it, and a dean markley pickup in it, and get that awful looking miniature pickguard off of it and replace it with one from another series (712, probably). Can't wait.
