I'm a big fan of the vintage copper butterbeans.

I will be difficult and choose the snakewood buttons. I think they look great with the new one off Sexauer name plate and art deco inlay...

5 to 2 copper butterbeans over Snakewood. I frankly like both choices shown for different reasons. I still need to see what the gold with ebony buttons before deciding. While they all look good against the backstrap, I think how the buttons will tie in with the headplate veneer will decide it.

Hmmmmm, Yesterday there were three in a row for the snakewood? Did someone remove a post? Anyway, all choices will be great, I liked the wood specifically because of the headplate wood and the "not a logo" inlay.

It must be a conspiracy!

Seriously, we tend to look at things close up in online photos but in real life, the guitar will be looked at in total.
  • The Maple and Spruce has a warm gold hue with touches of reddish hues in its flame/curl.
  • The Bocote which frames the guitar and headstock has ochres and browns.
  • There is also Pernambuco and Abalone purfling throughout providing a color accent.
  • There is also a bunch of Ebony in the bridge, fingerboard and name plate (it's not really a logo which is Bruce's signature "S").
The choice of tuners should integrate best with all of these. The good news is any decision can be remediated with a credit card, screw driver and socket wrench....

Guilty...

I just don't like how metal surfaces tarnish in the long run haha
