Fade in fade out put to great effect .... yet again!!! Looks killer and nice variation there on the not-so-regular-shaped backstrip. Can’t wait to hear it.

Thanks Hanter. It was your adventuresome design aesthetic that put me on to this, and I like it.

Default J. Kinnaird Englemann - BRW West Coast

Holy Smokes John that BRW looks killer under finish! I can't wait to see this one once it's all done. Mike you and John have collaborated on some really stellar guitars and this one is no exception. I hope you consider coming to B.I.G. in September and bringing this beauty with you.

I concur and an invite has already been sent. With John being there I would think it would be perfect.

Thanks Doodahdoug. You no longer have to wait. Here are the pics.

Smile Sweet!

Looks even more beautiful than expected, and I expected YUMMY

I see Mike has wisely opted for your brilliant adjustable neck, which I really like!

If I am going to dedicate one of my JKs to Slide for a while I can raise the action a bit in just a few minutes, without having to remove the strings!

And if I want to go back to my usual LOW action it is equally easy. And, Since I always use a strap, the small adjustment holes on the back of the neck heel are mostly covered.

I have checked out a LOT of adjustable necks and John's is by far the most elegant and provides just as much wood to wood contact as any neck joint.

Mike will be rocking this soon!

Congratulations on a SUPER AXE

Paul

Thanks to all of you who have kindly commented. I think John just flat out knocked this one out of the park...of course I may be a touch prejudice here lol. The pictures look great, thank you John for surprising me with those this Lord's day morning. In every pretty guitar the REAL story is tone, but as I've said before I'm yet to play one of John's guitars that was anything less than super. I expect this one to be nothing less than sensational.

Regarding bringing this guitar to "BIG", although it sounds like a really fun event, there are several real important reasons why I won't be attending...the most important of those are 1) not enough time to spare, and 2) I don't like to take nice guitars on airplanes and I don't want to drive that far.

So, hopefully John has someone there locally play this one so you can hear it, or when it gets here I'll put something up for everyone to hear.

Thanks Jamie, yes indeed and I hope it sounds JUST like yours. If so I'll be supremely happy.

The "tone equation" looks like this...

John's build prowess + REALLY OLD Braz + Mastergrade Englemann = Yummy!!
