Bowerman OM-41 Adirondack/Brazilian through The Golden Era Guitars

Hey guys,

My first post here on this forum! Anyway, this one is dedicated to Jayson Bowerman, and Marcus Wong from The Golden Era Guitar. I commissioned an OM-41 (it's a bit past the 41 style but I don't know what else to call it) around August 2018, and here's the final product.

Specs:
Adirondack Spruce Top
Adirondack Bracing
AAA grade Salvaged Brazilian Rosewood, back and sides
Brazilian Headplate
1 3/4" Mahogany neck
25.5 standard scale
EVO GOLD frets
Waverly open gear gold butterbean engraved tuners
Nitro Lacquer Finish
Abalone Rosette
Banded bridge (Abalone)
Ebony Binding with 41 style, single maple Purfling
Custom Harvey Leach Inlays - Crucifixion scene, Grape vine inlay on fretboard, Dove inlay on pick guard (MOP), Alpha Omega (MOP)



I'll update the detailed process with more pictures later. This was a really complicated custom, and my first actually. Marcus and Jayson were incredibly professional and helpful. More on that later too

Wow, congrats, sounds like it is wonderful. I have not seen detail like that in the purfling before where is comes in at the waist into the top. Really different and pretty. There is a lot of bling on this guitar with fantastic woods to boot.

Did you consider adding some decoration to it or did you prefer the ‘vanilla’ look?

Thanks Tom. This has been such a thrilling and rewarding build even as a dealer - from the start, the process and the certainly the finished product. I'm very excited for Nick to get this thread started so I can live through it all again!

Jayson calls them his "Hip Inlays". As much as they are unique to him, a similar design can be spotted on Cole Clark Guitars if you've ever run across them before

Hey Andrew, thanks so much for the kind words! This is my biggest passion so I am just glad to be able to share it with the rest of the community
