I keep my old Hummingbird strung with mediums and tuned to open D (DADF#AD). Everything else is in missionary tuning.

I play about 1/3 of my sets in the whole step down tuning, 1/3 in standard, 1/6 in Open D and 1/6 in Open G. I don't have a guitar for each. It'd be nice to have one tuned for a whole step down because that takes a few minutes to tune to. On the other hand, that is just one more thing to haul into my gigs. I'm trying to keep it simple (and failing, I might add).

My 1976 Guild D35 lives in DADGAD. My Jay Turser electric dobro alternates between open D and open G, My old Ventura twelve string is tuned down a full step, and I have a beater that is strung and tuned as a baritone (B-E-A-D-F#-B).
