Default Two masters at work! Clive Carroll and Will McNicol

Incredible playing on a Suite written by Clive. Will appears to be sight reading this, although I'm sure much practice went into this presentation. Absolutely stunning work.

Nice!

At the end they do a close up on the notation Will is using - Yikes! No tab!

This is just spectacular. Rumours are that Will did practice ahead of time.

In the thread here, there is an anecdote, which I have had verified by a good source, about John Williams when recording the original. Beyond comprehension of mere mortals like myself.

Two masters, indeed - the last 30 seconds or so in particular is insane. I have yet to see Will live, but was lucky enough to see Clive opening for Tommy E a few years back and he played much of the album that suite is from: 'The Furthest Tree'. It's pretty criminal that Clive is not known more - his track 'Eliza's Eyes' has been in my top 3 favourite fingerstyle tunes since I first heard it. I am hoping to see him next year on his "Clive Carroll plays the music of John Renbourn" UK tour in October and November.

Sorry, I thought I'd posted a link to the thread and have been away for a few days.

The story that I heard was that John Williams turned up having never seen the score, and Clive asked if he wanted a couple of run throughs. To which Mr Williams replied "just roll the tape" and proceeded to play it perfectly first time out.
