Stay away from that rabbit hole!

When I felt into it... I had to find a discontinued Elixir cable (most wideband passive cable) and make myself a homemade 16 positions varitone pot to be able to tune the capacitance to taste...

Once I knew what was my favourite capacitance value (between 200pF and 400pF - I don't even remember): I went on cable hunt, going from shops to shops with my capacimeter. Once all the shop dealers knew I was crazy I found the right cable and brought it home. It was a €25 planet waves station cable.

Note: Monster cable are tone eater. They kill all the high end. ...But they are more robust and RF immune than average. My planet wave cable sounds great... but the shielding is so so...
