I hate to beat a dead horse here , but I am looking into a nice nylon string guitar [sending for it ]. I have been playing steel string Martins and Larrivees for 50 years. So I have been fingerstyle all my life but never owned a nylon string guitar.I tried some out at GC but they just felt 'cold" or something.A 2" nut is probably not going to work for me[think Doc or Chet].The million dollar question ? What do you experienced player like the most? Thanks.

I should point out I like a cutaway and staying at the $1000 mark ,1 3/4" seems a little too small at the nut.

I just recently bought a Cordoba Fusion 12 CE from Sweetwater which is right at your budget. The nut is 1.875".
You might want to get these as well (string beads): https://www.stringsbymail.com/rosett...ack-13153.html Worth every penny.

Yes, they do. Martin makes them as well as others.

The Cordoba Fusion series is a good suggestion and will keep you under $1k.
I would compare them to the Yamaha NTX3 series which also has a 1.875" nut, has 14 frets to the body, and is equipped with the AtmosFeel pickup system. The look is more contemporary. They're $1050 now though and also a bit hard to find in-stock. Last edited by CoastStrings; 11-15-2022 at 10:44 PM. |
