Default Zoom R24 - programming the drum machine

Any one around here have experience with programming the drum machine/sequence portion of a Zoom R24? I picked up a used one several months back and have only recently plugged it in to play around with it. Most of the functions I figured out fairly well and I've read the manual and watched the YouTube videos, but I'm still a little confused over the drum machine/sequencer portion. I've used previous stand alone recorders and several drum machines. What I would like to do is to set a base drum pattern and then be able to step edit the entire drum sequence like I can in Cubase/Logic/Cakewalk. I've check the Zoom forums and thus far have not found anything to answer my question. So if anyone around has any info I would appreciate it.
