1983 MARTIN D-35 "1833-1983 150th Anniversary"
1983 MARTIN D-35 "1833-1983 150th Anniversary"
Clean and all original 150th Anniversary rosewood dreadnought in excellent condition. Martin was celebrating its 150th Anniversary that year, so they had the "1833-1983 150th Anniversary" stamp branded on the inside center back-strip. Been kept nice and clean for its over 37 years old, the original frets are still in great shape, plenty of life on them. It’s also free from repair with no cracks or breaks. Some lacquer crazing to be expected for this now almost ‘vintage’ instrument. Plays beautifully and has a wonderful rich balanced tone. Of course, booms like a D-35 should and is a superb all rounder. 3-piece back, solid spruce top with ebony bridge and black pickguard, the neck is made from 1-piece mahagony, topped with a ebony fretboard, Dot inlays and 20 frets. Neckjoint on 14th fret. 6x original Schaller tuners. Comes in its orig. black Martin hardshell-case.
