Red face Bluegrass Guitar on a Budget - All solid Revival RG-27 Dread

$$$$$OLD - thanx!

.....all the work has already been done on it - ready for you to play.

I bought this guitar and prepared it for a new player, but they went a different direction..... Had I known I would have gotten one with a wider neck and kept it myself! 1-11/16 is great for flatpicking but cramps my monkey-mitts when I try fingerstyle on it.

This one surprised me - after a month on my Tonerite, a good setup with new bone saddle, the addition of a Martin tortoise-colored pickguard and a JJB Prestige #330 piezo pickup, this is a really great guitar. It has gone to a few bluegrass jams with me and stays right up with the D-18's! Wish when I was a teen (too many years ago to count) that I'd had one like this to start on. Currently strung with Martin Bluegrass 80/20's.

Needs nothing but a case - only a few very light impressions from handling on the finish and no cracks, warps or other nasty stuff. If you want me to purchase a hard or soft case to ship it in we can add that to the tab. Otherwise I will double box and pad the guitar thoroughly for shipment to your CONUS address.

Here is the 'canned' description:

"Revival guitars combine the finest tone woods with fine craftsmanship and tone to produce a sweet sounding and easy playing guitar. Each Revival guitar is born and bred to satisfy even the most discriminating musicians taste. The Revival guitar line introduces the rebirth of the acoustic guitar.

The Revival RG-27 is a true bluegrass workhorse. Receiving fine reviews in Acoustic Guitar Magazine, and Guitar Player, The RG-27 tone and playability does all the talking. Solid Engleman spruce and solid mahogany provider rich treble and bass with x-pattern bracing. An abalone rosette and Chrome Grover tuning machines round off the Revival RD-27.

Hit me with any questions - this is one too good for around the campfires, but inexpensive enough you can't resist!

I should mention that I once owned a nice Larrivee D-05 dread which now belongs to my son-in-law. This Revival compares very well to the fit and finish of the Larrivee - both have curly maple solid wood bindings and a great gloss finish.

The Revival is braced more like a Martin though, so it's tone is deeper.

If you use a dread in the 1.68" nut size, you can't go wrong with this one as a backup - just sayin!

Price lowered again.....free sock included for the headstock.....

Seriously, the Engleman top is what makes this a sweet player. That option is not available on new Revivals....they now come with Sitka.
