I have a nice 60's Tribute Plus Epi with Gibson parts (USA pickups, wiring and switches) installed at the factory. I had a studio once. I play it through either a Marshall Class5 or my Fender Blues JR NOS tweed. It works nice for my home use with those quality amps. My neighbor bought the real deal Gibby 2K plus traditional or whatever. I like it. Tonally it doesn't seem like it's worth the $ right now. hIS Feels lighter and more refined on the neck to a degree, but the fit and finish on mine is great. I think if I were more of a electric lead player I may have a different opinion. For what I do, it works nice. Really all that matters for anyone of us I guess. Maybe someday. Probably would rather invest in a 335 if I went full in.
