New MiSi Pickup 'Magpie Air' (unreleased?)
http://mi-si.com/2018/01/24/magpie-a...of-two-worlds/
A Mag/Mic combo without the need for an internal battery sounds right up my alley. Has anyone had any experience with the new system? I believe that had it at NAMM. The only clip I can find is from Andrew Gorny's facebook page, and it is mixed with another pickup.

They have an Air pickup and a Air version of the Trio. I believe both use a MEMS microphone on the endpin preamp board which strikes me as a very unusual location. Maybe this is that preamp board paired with the Magpie??? The owner of Blue Star Music is quite knowledgeable about Mi-Si products and when I talked to him about the Air option for the Trio he said it was hit or miss on how people liked it. I installed a Trio and a separately purchased VTC in a Dreadnought maybe a 1.5 years ago and the PCB was labelled Air. Briefly Mi-Si used a common PCB between the various Air and Trio options which made adding the volume and tone controls a bit different from the previous Trio only PCB, which they later returned to using.
