WTB: Nylon strings with cutaways / Crossover -> Buscarino McGill Hill Doolin De Jonge
Hi all, I've been consolidating guitars and now close to having just one! I've been interested to focus solely on nylon string guitars with cutaways, as it seems that's all I've played for years at this point.
I've been interested in the following specific guitars, although I'd be happy to hear about others of similar quality: -McGill Picasso (Do you happen to know where #4 is?) -Doolin -Hill -De Jonge -Buscarino Cabaret -Borys (thanks for the tip TimL!) The primary thing is a cutaway; Open to varied specs otherwise. Thanks for looking! Last edited by DLQ; 04-12-2019 at 01:56 PM. |

There is a Picasso at Dream priced outside my pocket book.
You may want to consider a McGill Super Ace or a Borys B520. The Borys sells for quite a bit less and are excellent guitars, similar to a Caberet. Both of them are true crossover guitars |

Thanks guys! PM replied to. TimL, thanks for the Borys shout. He's been on my radar from time to time, there's actually one available I found, but the nut may be a bit too narrow for me. Bumping this one up.

Hunt for a great crossover!
I understand your quest, though not the one guitar thing. I searched for the right nylon for 4 years. I got a great one in the end, here on AGF, after looking hard and playing so many! One will come in time. Best wishes

Interested in something like this...? It's a short-scale, but a mighty voice. Contact: [email protected]

JohnnyD, I suppose I should clarify...Just trying to keep the guitars to ones I play (nylon). Wish I could stash electrics and steel strings and things for when the mood strikes! Larry, that's a really beautiful guitar! While I'm a fan of the slightly shorter scale around 640, 604 would be a big change without having explored it more. Thank you everyone |
