Default 2013 Jim Triggs Walnut Valley Guitar

This is way overdue but now that I've got a video of quality I wanted to show off this great guitar from Jim Triggs. He's known more for his hollow bodies so you don't see many acoustics like this. The latest issue of Acoustic Guitar Magazine actually has a Triggs guitar on the cover.

This guitar was built to be one of the winning guitars at the 2014 International Fingerstyle Guitar Competition and I had the fortune of winning it with the third place prize.

Here's a video I just released using this fine instrument. The pickup setup that includes a DPA 4061, a MiSi Magpie, and a K&K pure mini (plus all the processing) represents the natural sound of the guitar really well.

If anyone is interested I'll get some more specs listed and some nice photos around.

I like your video a lot...and the Triggs is a great prize for all the work to get to that level of skill. Good for you.

Is the Triggs maple?

Thanks. Yup, maple back and sides. Adds a nice crisp snap to the sound.

Funny, I just finished my first maple flat top guitar and I have been describing the sound as "snappy".
