Fishman pick up
I'm looking into a pick up and saw the Fishman rare earth humbucker with microphone. It is a little pricey but the sound seems very good. I like the external cord to be able to use on other guitars. Wondering if anyone has experience with this pick-up and/or any comments. Thanks.

Yep, I have one. Very good sound and a simple way to get a dual source system. How much mic you can blend in depends on your circumstances, but even a little makes a big difference.
I have mine permanently installed and use a stereo cable to mix the sources externally, along with a K&K Pure Mini. The latest model allows you to use either a mono cable and use the blend control on the pickup, or connect a stereo cable to split as I have done, so no rewiring is required (not the case with older models).

It is a very good sounding pickup. With no EQ or signal processing it can sound great. It is bulky in your sound hole and not something I would be installing on the fly for every gig. I had the older version where the goose neck was not as conveniently attached as the new one.
