Another good demo. It would be cool if you could buy the endpin set up with the mic and wire it to any pickup. It could be a great way to give a bit of air to a SBT and make a passive pickup active. I know you can buy just the jack but the mic attached would be cool.

Thanks for the review, Aaron.
I tried the MiSi pickups around ten years ago, but didn't care for their UST system as much as the DTAR Wavelength system which employed the same transducer. It appears that they may have upped their game since then. The blended signal definitely does sound nice. |

Question
I found your review on youtube and asked some questions and I'll ask the same here:
Have you tried turning down the pickup volume while leaving the mic volume all the way up to get more of a mic signal like you wanted? You would have to turn up the channel gain to compensate for turning the pickup volume down. On the mi-si website the user's guide for the air trio it says that the mic and pickup have independent volume wheels, it doesn't read like they have an overall volume and blend control like we are used to on mic/pickup combos like this. I'm curious if you can get the blend you want with those volume wheels. Thank you for the reviews |
