Well, new to my house. 2012 G&L Tribute ASAT Classic Bluesboy Semi-Hollow. Clear Orange. Maple board.

Upgraded with Fralins. Fralin - “Twangmaster” in the neck, and Fralin “Stock TELE” in the bridge.

500k CTS pots, Switchcraft 3-way switch, Orange drop caps - tone pot, and treble bleed mod. Swamp Ash body. Hard rock maple neck. 18:1 tuners, medium C shaped neck. Rolled fingerboard edges.

Killer sounding and playing T style guitar. Fantastic build quality. Never owned a G&L. But, have owned (and still do) my share of Fenders. From Mexi, to Japanese, to US.

While it’s still early, I must say I’m impressed.

Ty. The pics are pretty underwhelming. I’ll get some better photos tomorrow. But I can express how fantastic it is to play, the Frailin pickups are very, very nice. I’m sure the upgraded wiring helps the tones I’m getting also. But, having had a variety of higher end pickups, this is my first set of Fralins. I’m impressed.

I’d say easily on par with many higher ends guitars I’ve owned.

Get a set very tiny allen keys and some weak Locktite. The height adjusting set screws on the bridge pieces work themselves loose and the buzz you hear will be those.

I restrung mine with light gauge Elixir Optiweb.

The pearloid on yours looks way better than the plain cream/white. I want to put a 3 ply b/w/b on mine, but I may end up making one. I don’t really want to send it to Chandler and have to wait to get the orig and the new one. Where did you get the pearloid guard?

I’ve never heard of optiwebs. I’ll have to give those a shot. Right now it’s strung with elix electric .10’s.

Still can’t get over the craftsmanship. The neck is one of the best I’ve played. And the Fralins are a real eye opener for me. So far, I couldn’t be happier. It’s a great addition to the stable with so many useable tones. I’m truly a bit blown away.

Your welcome. Mine came with the pearloid pick-guard. So if it wasn't standard, then the previous owner did it. You might be able to get a G&L replacement pick-guard. I see some 3ply white ones (lefties) in the clearance bin. They might have one for a right handed ASAT. They offer a lot of upgrades that are compatible with the Tribute series guitars. I was liking the engraved G&L neck plate.

There is a VA based luthier named P. Scott Tucker, PST Guitars, (who know maybe he's here too, I found him on FB Maryland Music Gear Exchange) who makes custom Tele necks and he makes them for G&Ls too. His stuff looks real good.
