I just bought the used McNeill custom OM that was in the classifieds here recently. (Click here.) This guitar is absolutely beautiful and sounds amazing to my ears. The craftsmanship & playability are superb. As far as I can tell, what you get for what you pay makes McNeill guitars one of the best values out there in the realm of custom, handmade guitars.

Scott builds a very nice instrument.......I've had two here and both were very well built with pleasing voices. He's also a heck of a nice guy and fun to chat with.
Both of the instruments I had here used his proprietary bridge truss system similar to the Breedlove or JLD. I'd really like to hear one with a traditional top and no truss just for comparison. He's a Somogyi influenced builder and it would be cool to see what they would sound like without the truss. The voices seemed to be more in the Goodall with a hint of Breedlove camp on both instruments. Leaning toward the bright side a little more, but with lots of overtones. Here are a few shots of the Lacewood/Cedar OM - I think I preferred it slightly because of the port..... Uploaded with ImageShack.us
