OMG, such beautiful guitars, fantastic colors. You must have a serious case of seperation anxiety when you hand them over to the new owners. Would think their freaking out when they first see the actual guitar might ease the pain somewhat.

Building the Blue Lotus Archtop
Here are a few photos of the recently completed 16" Blue Lotus archtop. The woods are adirondack spruce, sugar maple, and brazilian kingwood.
     Hollowed out to about 300 grams     The arm bevel is carved into the top as one solid piece. No cutouts or veneers - soundboard retains its full width

Building the Blue Lotus Archtop
Client requested a sacred Om on the headstock, and we worked together to come up with this lotus design in abalone with mother of pearl petals with gold mop center
  The string afterlengths are harmonically tuned to 1/6th of the scale length like a cello, compensated for fan fret in this case - 25.4" to 24.9"  Strings grounded to the endpin jack via titanium tailgut  10 gram all rosewood bridge slotted for acoustic guitar style saddle  Armstrong floating P90 with custom rosewood cover  Lapis lazuli crystal blue color coat, which is powdered gemstone sprayed in a suspended solution.
