Suilven (Contemporary Scottish Fiddle tune)
I recently bought a fantastic book called "Folk Tunes From The Women" from which this amazing slow air comes, my first attempt at a tune from this collection (but it wont be the last!).
In the words of the composer : "It was written when I was longing to climb the iconic mountain near Lochinver. When I eventually reached the summit, it was a magical experience, with pools of water scattered below and clouds passing beneath me". This is my arrangement in CGDGAD:
