Default Fender American Elite Stratocaster - where to buy?

Hi,

I have always craved for a strat and finally I have decided to go for Fender American Elite strat. My question is which dealers can give me best deals?

For my Martin OM-28, I was able to drive to Maury’s in Coaldale, PA, play a bunch of Martins for an entire day and pick one I liked.

For Strat - Even if I am not able to personally play before I buy, I am ok. I am just looking for a reliable dealer with great price like Maury’s.

You can always go onto Fenders website and locate the "Find a Dealer" or 'Where to buy " page and plug in your zip

Or for Online sales with great customer service there is Sweetwater

get on the emailing lists of GC, musician's friend, sweetwater and some of the AGF sponsors. peruse their sites and then call them and keep a list of their offers. make sure you go to a local big box store first and play as many of them as you can. no holiday sales coming up except st. paddy's day and then easter, but by then you may have an idea of what specifics you want on your strat.

good luck.

play music!

You can check the listings on Reverb.com for NOS(new old stock), B stock(returns and scratch/dent inventory) and sometimes just a good old fashioned sale.
The electronics on the Elite series has changed this year, so it is very possible you may find a good deal on a NOS model with last years electronics.

Do a google and you will see prices from $1800 and up, depending on the exact model (there are different finishes, different necks).
Guitar Center is always offering 10% and 15% discounts if you are on their mailing list. There are always manufacture exclusions, but these can be got around by calling, or if in store, having the clerk call.

Default Elite Strat

I just purchased the Elite Tele Thinline hollow body from GC. I was marked down two hundred for some reason. Not sure if the Strat has the same neck, but that compound taper neck is the best I have ever played. My two others are Warmoth 59 roundback.
