Default Update - Polishing the StreetMaster 000-15

Just finished my 2nd string change on the new StreetMaster and wanted to update those interested on the polishing process. I'm just hand rubbing it with Virtuoso cleaner and polish when I take all the strings off to change them. This is after two sessions. I did use Mother's Scratch Remover the first time and then switched to Virtuoso every time after that. I'm really pleased with the results.

Cool idea, Mick. I’m not a fan of the Streetmaster finished...but shined up like that it looks pretty spiffy.

It was polishing itself just from my playing so I decided to help it along and get a more uniform gloss. And it feels like now it will be less prone to sweat stains (I sweat like a racehorse on stage).

I think you've done a great job on it - to me the uniform gloss looks nicer than those glossy patches that occur on satin finish guitars. Nicely done.

If you want to darken up the fretboard and bridge try a little Music Nomad F-One conditioner. You can see how it worked on the bridge of my Martin JDP II.

Yep. I did that to the DSS-15M Streetmaster I had and it darkened the fretboard/bridge to a classy deep brown like yours. Cheap, easy upgrade...

The bad thing about trying to photograph a guitar is the gloss only shows in a pic when you don't want it to. But here is a frontal view.

Default wax protection

If you would like to protect it from your body oils, then I suggest Renascence polish/ wax.

I use it and it works super great. The best part is it takes so very little to do the job.
