Those unfamiliar with the Great —Danny Gatton will get a Kick out of this old Laid back Video Session. This is one I had not seen before. It was recently posted on YouTube—-https://youtu.be/L4b0RiRTMw4

Look at the wear on that fingerboard, there’s no place there that isn’t visited regularly !
He left way too early but left the bar set almost impossibly high.

Danny Gatton was a killer guitar player. I have a bunch of his old CDs.

Just listening to him play for a few minutes can make my day.

Absolutely one of the best. A true master of the Tele.

I read years ago, he replaced the black fret markers on the side of the neck with little cubic zirconias. These would reflect the light so he could see them in dark smokey bars where he played.

Danny Gatton could play anything. I saw him once at Wolf Trap Farm Park in Virginia. I was so close to the stage I got spray from his beer bottle/slide on me!

Fender made a custom shop Signature Telecaster after him: http://www.fendercustomshop.com/seri...rd-frost-gold/
