Default Martin 000-18 GE

$2300 Shipped and PayPaled.

Excellent Condition, No Modifications.

The only blemishes outside of very light play wear are a couple of whisker finish checks near the bridge, as highlighted.

This is a very good example of this popular model, which won hands down for resonance and play-ability head to head against two other 000-18GEs.

The reason I am selling is a 000-18A that I acquired last year right here on AGF which is superior, although not at all when prorated for price.

Thanks for looking.

These are such great guitars! Even though my new 000-18 12 fret is getting all my playing time, I can't bear to sell my 000-18 GE. Just love it too much!!

GLWS!

Oh, and I agree about the 000-18A...had one for about a month, but returned it as it was in no way $1500 better than my 000-18 GE. I give the nod to the authentic in tone and build quality, but I always worried about not having an adjustable truss rod.

This is the guitar I want. The one. Tell me friends, how do I convince the wife this is an essential purchase. I’m 99% sure she wouldn't care if it weren’t for the goings on in the world...

(Apologies for the language!)

Default Convince the wife of guitar sale

Do what I used to do...I know there are caveats, but many times this works...

Step 1: "Honey, I'm going to buy this gun (or motorcycle)"
Step 2 : Argument ensues, back and forth
Step 3: She doesn't talk to you for a day or two, just continue being nice.
Step 4: In a day or two, -Announce , "Hey, look at this guitar for sale".
Step 5 She will probably say "Why don't you get the guitar, and forget that gun (or motorcycle)."
Mission accomplished.

I’ve been working on this for weeks... and really, I just need her to give the slightest indication I won’t be sleeping on the couch if a new guitar shows up...

But it’s funny you mentioned a motorcycle... my neighbor across the street came home with a new Triumph last night. Now, I’m not a motorcycle guy, but this thing looked sweet (and expensive!). I pointed at it and said something to the effect of, “his wife let him buy a new motorcycle... all I want is a used guitar!”. Nothing. The ability to keep from making an offer the OP is failing. Or take my approach:

GET the guitar...then IF asked "is that a new guitar?" reply "no just haven't played it in a long time" ! This of course requires that you already have a confusing array of cases lying around already haha!

If it’ll help you out, you can buy the guitar and store it at my place...for as long as you want...years even. I promise to make sure it gets played now and then...just for the health of the guitar, of course.

It is better to ask for forgiveness then permission

Besides we all could be dead by the end of the year so live it up while you can. Life is short but it can be wide, just fill it up with good things

Just in case you need a little motivation. Just posted this, a little something I worked up on my 000-18ge. Playings a little sloppy, but that guitar sure sounds good.

Y’all are killing me. [emoji846] I keep refreshing, just waiting for it to be marked “sold”. I think there might be something to working the “stuck at home” angle. [emoji1695]
