Ugly and I would never buy one but it's always interesting to see inovation.

Agreed...that thing isn't pretty. Though I like black guitars, I don't know how I'd feel about one that's made of carbon fiber.

Lava at first sight? Maybe not. But if it sounds great amplified and plays well (the original Lava had a very short scale length), it's a great deal on a carbon fiber instrument.

Lava Music’s new carbon-fiber acoustic-electric

It’s an interesting shape for sure. As an Emerald X20 owner the odd center soundhole doesn’t bother me. The sound both acoustically and amplified is what matters. I believe that this model is version three of their product line. Based on its price it’s a lot of guitar for the money - CF guitars aren’t cheap!

I have to admit, it sounds pretty good. Looks like the perfect busking guitar.

You should try a carbon fiber guitar... THEN, you'd know how you feel about it. Check out the posts on this sub-forum to see some gorgeous instruments from the other CF makers.

I did. Some of them are indeed incredible. All that remains is to play one and see how I like the sound.

Another big bonus of carbon fiber: you don't have to wait years for them to "open up". Enjoy the discovery process.
