Your accent is charming, Chloe - but no-one says ‘cocobolo’ quite like Alistair

Never fear Cousin Simon. I may be far out but here for you if you need to commiserate. I am also here if you find out Alistair has a beautiful gem, knock off or even a new build he wants to foist on one of his innocent American kinfolk. Remember I already have an awesome X20 and an incredible Kestrel, so pick out something that will help tide me over until I am allowed to leave my house and mingle with friends and family again.

Thank you cousin Tom, blood is thicker than water afterall.
I think a vintage bust, quilted maple amicus may be in production already if you really want to cure the boredom!

I already have a quilted maple Kestrel. I'm thinking something a little more out there and befitting of my out there status in the family.

Maybe something using floating strings and on the smaller side for travel (assuming that will happen again) that shows off the superb natural weave of the instrument.

That said, I certainly wouldn't say no to an Amicus or any other fine instrument you think suitable that had the same coloring (aka colouring) scheme of my dear Kestrel. Of course any finished guitar you have sitting around could be of interest too. I was overwhelmed when last I visited and haven't quite recovered as of yet.

Since this is Uncle Evan's thread we should probably focus more on the nylon string front. Synergy Uke or even Synergy X20 might just be the cure needed in these trying times.

I'm not picky. For example I think I would have space for an X30-12 too if pressed. I don't think I will catch up to Mark, but I can at least give it a try.

Tom;

By the time you catch up with Mark he'll be far ahead of you.

Also, for what it's worth, I think all our threads interweave and one of the delightful things about this forum is that every thread results in some interesting tangents. Got to love it.

Got to have goals. Been trying to rig the contest to go my way as that will get me one step closer to this goal. My last offer was you get the trip AND you get to design my guitar. Probably not good enough. Guess I got to up my game.

I've been wondering if Simon or Chloe could use a little Vegas juice to help swing the vote my way.

So, RP, are we talking about both internal and external tangents? It's amazing we get anything done.
