Very sad. He was a huge part of my musical aspirations. I love his interviews. He was a genius. This is truly a shock.

Wow, that's a really cool story!

Before I dove into the older stuff like Miles, Trane, Dizzy, etc., Pat Metheny was much of what I listened to. The past couple of days I've been reacquainting myself with his stuff. Pat, Lyle, the rest of the band...just so much talent. Stands up to the test of time too.
