The internal parts of the sides are nearly complete. The neck adjusting mechanism follows after I make the neck. Carbon fiber struts are in place. You can see that the socket for those struts is in a block that is backed by a brace that is notched into the laminated lining

Adjustable neck time
Cutting the adjustments slots for the neck. The length of the slots shows the adjustment available
Slots complete. You can see the ends of the block support rods that have been glued to the depth of the neck block and then some. 4000 lb JB weld should hold them in place. The neck will cover this structural ugliness. The inside view of the slots Checking the alignment of the neck with a place holder for the top which has to be arched with the same arch the top will have and placed where the bridge will go and spaced up the thickness of the top. Etc etc.

The top lining is leveled or should I say domed evenly and an aluminum plate is epoxies to the top of the block as a bearing surface for the adjustment bolt.

Top is on
This is a great time to do any testing of top response. I use my precisely calibrated thumbs to feel the deflection and tap the top all over to just hear how lively it is. Its possible to change things in this stage.

Precisely calibrated thumbs...
Yep. That is just what I expected. Do you put it in your teeth and wiggle, or flex it off your forehead, etc?
I just got the BIG GUN back from Pat Quinn. He installed one of his flamenco style BIG, super thin and tough pick guards and gave it a serious playing. Both Pat and Tim Luranc, who together have worked on oodles of high end guitars and are used to very tight tolerances found NO flaws at all. Most impressive indeed! And the SOUND, egads!!! I LOVE the BIG GUN. Thanks John Steve is with Cindy and me in our living room, and we are all ogling this beauty! Carry on and have FUN Paul

Checkin in
Wow Maestro, it’s really coming together muy rapido. Another amazing piece of art. Kind of like stereo, beautiful to the eyes and ears.
I have been playing Pablo’s new one, what a marvelous canon! Sooo comfortable too, amazing for such a large guitar. Thanks for all the photos and progress description.

Final stages of getting the body ready for the finisher.
I spray a little naphtha on the body to check for glue stains.(which show up lighter)
