Boss Acoustic Singer Pro & Compressor Limiter?
Hi - I'm trying to get some decent/even sound quality at a low volume out of my Boss ACS Pro 120w. I'd like to to take the edges off the peaks, especially with the vocals (SM58), so I don't irritate folks while their eating and chatting. (smaller pubs)
Thinking maybe I'm going for the sound of: "Music playing in another room". I don't have the greatest mic technique especially when I am playing & singing. I wondered if a 2 channel compressor and/or limiter inline before the amp would help even things out... without sacrificing too much on the dynamics... Tell me if I'm nuts.. |

Back off the mic about 6” and most of the problem will correct itself.
