My son and I try out some new gear— the dead cover Going Down the Road

This Grateful Dead cover, "Going Down the Road Feeling Bad" is a lot of fun. My son is playing my new PRS silver sky, my first C-19 purchase. (I sold 2 guitars and gave one to my niece so I'm still making a little progress -- three out and one in.) I'm playing my custom Bowerman. Ipad recording.

February is the annual freeform Dead Covers Project on youtube, very loosely organized by the Grateful Dead YT channel. No rules other than record and post a video on youtube and mark it #DeadCoversProject 2021. Some get included in the playlist on the GD channel. Many others don't. No rhyme or reason. Great way to kill to time. I will post one of my favorites next.

Started...I really love seeing kids and parents sharing music. That’s a lifetime of memories for you both, I’ll bet. I think it helps establish good values all the way around.
Your son is quite accomplished...very smooth and musical. Tell him we enjoy seeing/hearing him. Your singing is spot on and your playing, of course, supports the song perfectly. I’d love to hear your vocals through a mic and a PA of some description.

Thanks Glenn. Maybe one of these days we will rig up the mics and do a proper recording, but as the one who is asking for help, I’m always waiting.

Thanks Roger. I passed your sentiments on to my son. He smiled. We play a couple of songs together almost every night. I can’t say what it means to him but I cherish every minute.

We did break out the PA and an amp for my guitar so maybe we will record the room with all of us amplified one of these days.
