Default Looking For America....

Wonderful song by Nashville singer/songwriter Ashley Sofia. Been meaning to record this for a while and had a couple hours the last two days. Ashley is a very talented young lady and a wise, old soul. Check out her album "Shades of Blue". She's also a member here!

Thanks buddy - she's got a few really nice tunes on her latest CD.

I was humbled when she told me she had tears streaming down her cheeks after listening to my version - I'd sent it to her for approval of posting thinking maybe she'd decline, but I was glad to get the thumbs up

Thanks Glenn - it's one that hit me the first time I heard it!

This past fall I was driving a new car home from a dealer on the west side of the state - heading east into an area with rolling hills, a large wind farm and several groups of geese in formation heading south. Everything was a golden hue as the sun was setting behind me, and this song came on my car media player. It was a "space in time" experience, and I think I probably hit the "replay" button 3-4 times! I knew then I'd have to learn it.

Thanks buddy - when things open back up (and spring gets here) I may have to make a trip up to see that new pad of yours!
