**SOLD** 2011 Santa Cruz 1934D Adi/Mahogany Custom (Ser# 6173) -- Ex+++

Looking to trade my 2011 Santa Cruz 1934D Custom with Old growth Adi and Old growth mahogany, straight up, for a Pre*War IHD dread in EIR or Granadillo.

This 1934D is in 9.4 out of 10 condition, and has the desireable 1 3/4 nut (rare on these), 2 3/16 string spacing, full hide glue construction, and a slew of custom features including: tortoise body bindings and tailpiece, black bound fingerboard in place of ivoroid, unbound headstock with script logo in place of mini SCGC at the 16th fret, violin top purfle in place of herringbone, Southern Belle sunburst, and tortoise pickguard in place of the dalmation. All add up to a classy and conservative D-18 style look.

The neck is a medium thickness soft-v profile, and the guitar plays effortlessly all over the neck in typical Santa Cruz fashion. Recent fret dress, new compensated long bone saddle, fresh setup, and touch up of capo marks above the nut (work done by Ron Ruggiero of Yardley, PA). Action is 6/64 and 4/64, with 0.005" relief. Neck thickness measurements are as follows: 1st thru 5th fret: 0.885", 7th fret: 0.894", 9th fret: 0.93." K&K mini installed by a prior owner.

I will also sell this guitar outright for **SOLD**, or ***** for an in-person transaction (bank check only please, no Paypal). However, a straight up trade for a Pre*War dread is my preferred outcome.

Hi Alan, hope all is well. Nope, it’s the normal enlarged soundhole for this model.

Soundhole is 4 9/16" across -- standard size for 1934D and Tony Rice Pro models.

Yes, that was never in dispute. You used to own one of these in BRW, correct? Same enlarged soundhole as the one you had. Maybe it looks bigger on mine because of the dark sunburst here, but it is the same 4 9/16.”
