Godin A6 Ultra: Adding an internal mic?

Hello Everyone!

So I've been playing an A6 Ultra for a few years now and I just love the thing. My only complaint that there isn't an internal mic to pickup body percussion. Just curious if anyone has attempted to add a mic to one of these? There isn't much space to work inside, so I'm looking for some first hand experience before I start pulling it apart.
