Congrats guys, that guitar sounds every bit as good as it looks. One question though, what is the significance of those three white inlayed circles in the back?

Maybe portals for interplanetary travel?

Ok here’s some attempts at photography. I’m still learning, but I think these will at least give you a glimpse at the beauty of this instrument.

That sinker looks great with the figured madrose - the whole guitar is a thing of beauty. I think that double 0 shape is my favorite yet.

Thanks Guy's, I couldn't agree more! Steve and Ryan have done it again, WOW. I cant wait to make a trip to Nacogdoches to pick it up. Always great to see Steve and Ryan and spend some time at the shop. I wish this guitar could make it to BIG but alas my schedule wont allow this year, but if any of you are in the Arlington Texas area give me a shout and stop by to take it for a spin!!

Thanks much Tim, and Todd isn't far afield. We're really hoping this guitar takes Dave to some unchartered places.

Very kind, Tom, thank you. But you know, you're only 10 miles off with your geography. Not bad for a New Yorker!

And thank you, Stan. These 00's are amazing little machines, alright.
When Martin designed this model, they knocked it right out of the park.

Thanks Dave! This was a lot of fun to build, and I'm glad it's going home with you. Now, wanna talk Myrtle?...Maple?...OR Mahogany?

Nice work Gents! I love Madagascar RW. Great to work with, great sounding, and great looking! You brought out the best in that one!

Steve, I'm thinking Maple or Myrtle, so if its anything like this one it means we will end up with African Blackwood or Ebony, HA! To be honest, while I'm really excited to pick up this guitar there is always a bit of sadness that the process is ending. I think I enjoy the process almost as much as the finished product. This guitar couldn't have ended up farther from what we initially discussed, but I couldn't be happier with where we ended up. I really enjoy working with Steve and Ryan, not only are they exceptional craftsmen, they are darn nice people to boot. Thanks again guy's, its been a pleasure.

Hey Ken, thanks much! We jumped at the chance to purchase a few sets of this fine wood when LMI offered it several years ago. After this guitar, there's only one set remaining in our stash. Kinda bitter-sweet to see it leave...

Good one. Glad I had swallowed my coffee before reading that.

Indeed, part of the joy of the process! Some would say the "romance" of lutherie, and I think they aren't too far off.
