Default NGD: 2019 McKnight Tottie (vs Vintage 1840s Martin)

Tim McKnight was so impressed by my recently purchased Size 1 Martin guitar from the 1840s that he decided to introduce a new model (the Tottie) based on that parlor-sized guitar.

I've put the same strings on both of these guitars (Ernie Ball Earthwood Silk and Steel Extra Soft: .010-.050) and had a friend of mine play them both for a comparison.

I'm pretty amazed how similar they do sound (they sounded a lot more different before I put the same strings onto the McKnight Tottie that were on the Martin).

Here's some video comparisons (shot on an iPhone using a high-end mic that attached to it). Sorry, don't know what mic was used . . forgot to ask.

I enjoy reading Tim's build threads here. Getting a guitar built by him is on my bucket list.

Congrats on the McKnight! One day I hope to meet both Tim and Mary and get a chance to play one of their guitars.
