Dave White's Roadtrip Guitar
Dave White of De Faoite Stringed Instruments in England sent out a terz guitar on a roadtrip earlier in the year, or maybe even last year. My slot rolled around in August and I recorded a few things as per the price of admission to the roadtrip. The guitar is called An Féa Caol, which is Gaelic for *the slender beech* (Lord of the Rings reference) and was ever so sweet.
The top is Lawson's Cypress, also known as Port Orford Cedar according to Dave, and the back and sides are Cuban Mahogany. I enjoyed having this guitar at home way more than I thought I would. It was utterly delightful. The tuning is up a fifth from standard, so G to G. Here is a short review I put up on YouTube. Cheers! Cams https://youtu.be/u7NrcMMKkhM

Well that was just excellent - both the guitar and the playing/video.
Such a sweet sound but has definite body to it. Lovely. |

Very nice little guitar! And awesome gaelic tune.
I find the aromatic aspects of a guitar rise to the upper side of my priorities!

Thank you all for the kind comments. It really is a delightful guitar. I had the good fortune of meeting and interviewing Dave for my podcast at this year's Halifax gathering in the UK and handed the guitar over to its next custodian.
