Cort Core Solid-Wood OC Series?
I was looking at the Cort website and noticed they have a new all-solid series out in the OC shape. I’ve heard great things about their Gold & Little CJ series, so I’m definitely curious about these.
The all-blackwood model in particular caught me eye. I haven’t had any experience playing blackwood, but they certainly look the part visually and are supposed to sound like a mix of mahogany, maple and rosewood (take that as you will). They also offer a spruce/mahogany and a all-mahogany model in the lineup. https://www.cortguitars.com/product/...2041418&page=1 Anyways, I doubt anybody has laid hands on one yet, but any thoughts on Cort guitars or blackwood guitars in general? |

Nice looking Cort guitar! Blackwood is very similar to Koa. Maybe slightly less high end chime. I tried the Cort Gold 08 and liked it. I don’t think they have this model near the GC where I live.

Just chanced upon 2 videos of the Spruce & Blackwood models. Pretty decent sounding guitars!

Yes Cort makes nice guitars, but the resell value is the worst ever (proof that we don't buy guitars with any form of logic).
Cort cries all the way to the bank as a fortune 500 company building guitars for everybody else. |
