Default Voicelive 3 - “GUITAR THRU” will bypass looper?

I’ve AER compact amp, wanted to keep the perfection of my Alhambra Spanish guitar sound, so I connected the VL3 “GUITAR THRU” to the amp.
But doing so, I can’t use the looper functionality on the VL3, is that normal?
is the “GUITAR THRU” bypasses Voicelive 3 looper?
If the answer is “Yes”, my second question is, how to set the VL3 to keep the guitar tone, and pass it as it is to the AER amplifier?
Thanks in advance.

Default voicelive thru

I think the best solution is to turn off the amp simulation (acoustic or bodyrez) in the guitar amp section
