Default Bryan Galloup Build

I've admired Bryan Galloup's work for some time. I first discovered him years ago in a TV documentary I stumbled across. The series showcased Craftsmen of various types. Bryan was highlighted as a luthier and instructor. My friends at Dream Guitars arranged a build slot for me. The process has begun. He is building a G6 (Jumbo) for me in Spruce / Brazilian. First pics below.

Here is the rosette design I chose. Artistic but still conservative.

Congratulations on a Galloup build. I have played a few of his guitars and they are very, very, very nice!

Here is a better look at the amazing BRW back. Also a shot of his instrument profile. The cutout is more relaxed than I'm used to. I like the aesthetics better than a sharp cut. The sides are now bent. More pictures soon.

I've know Brian since the late 80's and he is a really great guy. He's been a big inspiration to me. I wish I could of taken one of his classes but life got in the way and it didn't work that way. It's been a treat to watch him take his repair business and add a school then building of his own guitars. You'll have a winner of a guitar.

Nice to see there's a bevel going in. You can enjoy the sound coming out of that big lower bout without compromising on comfort.

I chose some very subtle inlay for the back. The woods on this guitar are all the bling it will need.

Looking good! Can't wait to see more.

I got to play Bryan's guitars when a traveling high end guitar show came to my city (Tucson, AZ). Bryan's guitars were easily the best sounding acoustics at that show.

Lots of progress today. The completed rosette and back braces. The rosette inserts are Brazilian Rosewood from some figured leftover pieces in the shop.

That's a very interesting bracing pattern. I don't think i've seen one quite the same. The build is looking great!
