FS: Goodall Rosewood Concert Jumbo (SOLD)
Up for sale today is my 2003 Goodall Rosewood Concert Jumbo, built in Hawaii. The Rosewood Concert Jumbo is one of the quintessential Goodall styles for good reason. This guitar has a beautiful set of straight grained East Indian Rosewood back and sides, curly Koa binding around the body and headstock, and a Port Orford Cedar Top. It’s a gorgeous golden color with tight straight grain and plenty of silking. For those of you not familiar, POC is an upgrade that Goodall offers. It’s hardness and stiffness are closer to Adirondack Spruce than it is to Western Red Cedar. It excels at both strumming and fingerstyle. You can find more details via google or on Goodall’s website.
Tonally the guitar is everything you would expect from a Goodall. It has deep, clear bass with crystalline trebles. The midrange is slightly ‘scooped’ which gives it a piano like tone. The Concert Jumbo body style gives a nice open tone whether strummed or fingerpicked with heavy overtone content and loads of sustain. Current action is around 5/64 (Low e) which allows for both strumming and fingerstyle with no buzzing. I will also include another saddle for folks that prefer a very low action @ around 4/64 (Low e) for fingertyle with a light touch. There is plenty of room to adjust however you would prefer. The neck is the standard Goodall carve with 1.75 nut and 2.25 saddle. Scale length is the standard Goodall long scale - 25.5". This guitar is in excellent+++ condition with virtually no fret wear, and no notable scratches or dings. The only marks worth noting would be some very slight swirls and scratches on the back that don’t photograph. It will ship with a mint condition Ameritage case with humidity control. Selling to fund a potential vintage purchase as I’m finding myself playing a lot more bluegrass lately. Priced to move quickly at $OLD from South Jersey. This is a complete steal for a minty Goodall. Bump for a great Goodall at the lowest price I've seen. Some interest, but no takers yet...

Weekend bump!
I'd prefer to sell but would also consider trades (with cash potentially either way). Some trades I might be interested in: Bourgeois Dreadnoughts, SCGC Dreads or OMs, Froggys, Lowdens, 1960's Martins.

Port Orford tops have a special sweetness and strength to them. I'll bet this is one fine Goodall. GLWTS.

Still up there for now, although I'm wavering in my desire to sell this one as I spend a bit more time playing it!

Big price drop to $3600. Looking to move this guy before the Winter weather hits. I'd prefer to sell on AGF, but will be putting up on reverb later this week. Act now!

Thanks. All PMs responded too. Plenty of interest and some interesting trade offers, but preferring to sell outright. Still available for the moment.

Bump. This guitar is now listed for sale on Reverb. The reverb price of $4K is still $200 less than the next cheapest Goodall CJ and in far better condition. Get it while it's still available and save $400 + Sales tax!
